Graeme Craig Smith

Graeme Craig Smith aged 27 is a Top order Left hand Batsmen and Part time off break Bowler promoted as current captain of South African Cricket Team. He made his International Career debut against Australia at Bloemfontein on March 08, 2002 has played 70 Tests and scored 5761 runs with average of 49.23. The Skipper scored 16 centuries with a highest score of 277 runs and astonishes himself as the most successful player to lead South Africa team. He was well accompanied with his partner Herschelle Gibbs to open the innings and scored many runs in partnership against all test playing nations.

He also holds the world record for scoring 415 runs in partnership with Neil McKenzie against Bangladesh in 2008. His ODI career comprises of 133 matches scoring 5016 runs with an average of 41.18 and Strike rate 81.80 and holds the record for leading his team 16 Consecutive wins. His record in U-19 world cup scoring 348 runs and retained as highest run scorer in the tournament. He was promoted to lead his team at the age of 22 and claims to be the youngest captain that South Africa Cricket has ever produced. His major teams include South Africa, Africa XI, Cape Cobras, Gauteng, ICC World XI and Rajasthan Royals.
